Poverty
The Shadow of Society
Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food,
clothing, and shelter. However, poverty is more, much more than just not having enough money.
We, our group would like to spread awareness about one of the problems in our whole world, Poverty. Because the number of people who are affected is still rising and rising poverty among children is particularly harmful to our society.
And we believe that today's youth are to become the motor of tomorrow's economic rise and the global fight against inequality. So we should help to improve and fight for our society for the next generation.
“The premise is simple: One economy and one environment, and they're interdependent” -Dennis Weaver According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, 9.9% of the total population suffers from malnutrition and 45% dies. 689 people are living under the poverty line, living their everyday lives with extreme hunger. If we help hungry stomachs, feed them, educate them, and nurture them to be great environmental keepers, at the end of the day, they could contribute to the betterment of the environment. Environmental crises like climate change would not be solved if people were not educated enough and if the people that are supposed to be fixing the environmental issues became weak and frail. Let’s get real. We can’t really restore the environment with simple methods anymore. We need to create and utilize advanced technologies in order for it to be restored. And with that level of technology, that specific situation could only be possible when we have an educated and strong human force. The solutions to these aggravated circumstances can only be solved by a brain that is nurtured economically. We don’t have to sacrifice a strong economy for a healthy environment because a regenerated environment and a strong nation are built up by a strong and well-educated workforce.
